Angang Market is located at the point where the Taebaek mountain range meets the East Sea coast, and brings together a wide variety of ingredients and produce. Geoncheon Market is a traditional market that has been in continuous operation since 1914. On the fifth and 10th of each month, vendors gather along a roughly 50-meter stretch around the Singyeongju Agricultural Cooperative intersection to form a lively marketplace. Clothing, seasonal fruit and vegetables, dried seafood, farming tools, and everyday household goods are all available. On market days, stalls line the alleyways, and residents converge on the market. The back-and-forth of greetings and bargaining between vendors and shoppers creates a lively, warm atmosphere. it is an everyday market where seasonal produce and local food await, and a pleasant place to wander through at a leisurely pace.
